New Pilot Project in Canada for Lumen IQ™
Adaptive Street Lighting

Company Update Issued: 8/20/2008
Installation of LumenIQ™ Adaptive Street Lighting
Wirelessly-controlled LumenIQ™ adaptive street lighting can reduce a community's street light energy bill by 50%

We are very pleased to report that we are currently working on a new pilot project with a major Canadian city and its energy utility to provide our energy-saving Lumen IQ™) adaptive street lighting technology as part of a provincial energy conservation strategy.

As the pilot moves forward, we anticipate releasing more details on the project. It is an exciting opportunity to showcase our LumenIQ™ street light optimization system and its ability to significantly reduce energy and maintenance costs. More importantly, the city is in a region that experiences significant seasonal temperature variations, and have chosen our system for it's durability and reliability under extreme conditions.

LumenIQ™ adaptive street lighting is capable of providing very significant energy savings for a community. In fact, the typical Canadian municipality spends 30% to 35% of its entire energy budget on street lighting and our Lumen IQ&trade technology is capable of reducing this figure by 50%. In addition, the technology is very cost-effective; depending on the configuration, communities can expect a payback period of only two to five years.
