Lumen IQ™ C200 Lamp Controllers
For management via the
Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System each lamp fixture in your street light network requires a
Lumen IQ™ C200 Lamp Controller with wireless communications.
The Lumen IQ™ C200 lamp controllers measure the light output from the street light bulbs and intelligently manage the power input to the ballasts in order to optimize light levels. Through intelligently managing the light output, your community will benefit from environmentally-friendly street lighting that effectively conserves energy while delivering significant performance and efficiency gains:
- Immediate energy savings while maintaining optimal light output and public safety;
- A corresponding and significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions;
- A reduction in light pollution, as the bulbs are optimized to perform to design specifications from the day they're installed;

The energy management lamp controllers can be quickly retrofitted to existing street lighting fixtures or ordered from us fully integrated into new fixtures (factory installed and tested at our facility before delivery).

Components
A Lumen IQ™ C200 Lamp Controller is comprised of three components:
- A microprocessor with a 900Mhz RF radio that wirelessly interfaces with the Lumen IQ™ Station communications hub;
- A real-time lamp sensor;
- An advanced, intelligent photocell (not required for all controllers - two or more required for each local network of controllers).
The Lumen IQ™ C200 Lamp Controller is a 100% solid-state device with no relay contacts to chatter, burn or pit. It performs reliably at locations with higher vibration, such as on bridges and in tunnels.
How It Works
Based on data from the lamp sensor, the microprocessor continually monitors and adjusts the lamp performance so that it meets the adaptive lighting protocol set by the client using the Lumen IQ™ Central software application.
The photocell, or "day/night sensor" features a number of proprietary technologies that enable it to be more accurate and easier to orient for optimal performance. It is also programmable to accommodate minor adjustments for localized ambient lighting.
Proprietary Anti-Cycling Feature
When a bulb in your street light network begins to cycle incorrectly, the Lumen IQ&trade C200 Lamp Controller automatically cuts the power to protect the lamp fixture's electronics and eliminate any additional energy waste. The lamp controller then alerts you of the failure of its luminaire (via the Lumen IQ™ Central system management software) so that you can arrange for replacement.
