A Flexible and Scalable Design

You can roll out at a Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System at a pace that is in line with your community's street lighting budget and resource constraints.

For example, you may choose to install lamp controllers now for fixtures with high operating costs (such as those with 250W to 400W bulbs), so that you can capture immediate energy savings while you await additional resources. Once the resources are available, you can then continue to install the Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System in phases with full functionality, linking in these initial lamp controllers along the way.

Easy, Cost-Effective Installation

Lumen IQ&trade C200 energy-saving lamp controllers can be retrofitted to existing lamp fixtures quickly and with minimal technical expertise. They can also be ordered as part of a brand new lamp fixture, fully integrated and tested at our factory.

Lumen IQ™ Station communication hubs can be mounted at practically any location (on poles, building walls, etc.) within a 300 metre (1000 foot) range of their corresponding lamp controller sub-group.

Powerful but Intuitive to Use

The Lumen IQ™ Central system management software is a powerful client-side application with a user-friendly interface. Once installed and connected to the database, only basic training is required to put you in full control of your new energy saving street light network!

Secure Communications

Your Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System uses 128 bit security encryption for all communications between the Lumen IQ™ Central software, the Lumen IQ™ Station communication hubs and the Lumen IQ™ C200 lamp controllers.

A Future Proofed Architecture

You do not need to worry about obsolescence. Your Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System has been designed with future technologies in mind. It can accommodate future light sources, such as Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), electronic ballasts, as well as other enhancements without the need for a system replacement.

Once installed, your Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System will reduce the energy consumption of your street light lamps by 10% to 20% by monitoring and adjusting the lamp output in real time. The system ensures each lamp fixture is operating to design specifications (no more, no less) at all times.

Additional energy cost savings of up to 40% can be achieved by using the Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System to adapt the light levels during non-peak activity times (typically between 11pm and 5am).

Performance and Energy Usage Data at Your Fingertips

Your Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System enables you to quickly understand the energy usage of your street light network(s). You will be able to develop and implement effective adaptive lighting protocols that will maintain your high level of public safety, but will enable you to reduce the energy consumption of your street lights.

Full Control

Using the Lumen IQ™ Central software, you can monitor your street light networks from practically any location in the world using a desktop PC and a connection to the Internet.

You can use the performance and energy usage data gathered to adjust the output of individual street lamps, groups of street lamps or your entire street light network in real time. For example you can:

Adjust on/off times based on seasonal lighting conditions.
Adjust the on/off times for individual lamp fixtures, or groups of fixtures, based on localized ambient lighting.
Set adaptive lighting parameters that will maintain public safety levels yet may dim or turn off certain lamp fixtures during off-peak hours.
Set adaptive lighting parameters based on public input (for example, when residents request less light outside their houses.
Set adaptive lighting parameters based on special events.

By automatically monitoring the mortality curve of each lamp fixture in your street light network, your Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System will accurately predict and notify you of lamp failures BEFORE they occur. You will be able to develop more efficient and cost-effective maintenance scheduling and greatly improved system performance.

With its integration into Microsoft MapPoint® Server or your own asset management system, you will even be able to develop the most efficient routes for lamp replacements. The system provides GPS accuracy that enables day time service crews to pinpoint the street lights in need of repair.

Each Lumen IQ™ C200 lamp controller in the system also includes proprietary anti-cycling technology which ensures cycling lamps are turned off to reduce energy consumption and also protect the other components in the lamp fixture. The system's ability to turn the fixtures off automatically means no more "day burners".
